The Gift (Acrylic on 10” x10” canvas).
In this time of longest nights,
we look for light—
and find it not only in stars,
but in what has been given
into our keeping.
What we have is rare.
What we choose matters.
May the year ahead
be guided by care,
by wonder,
and by the courage
to protect what has been given.

“Love Gathered”- A November abstract”
“Here in this small radiant space.
A place where gratitude collects
Where every kindness of the year
Draws close and glows again.
Love is not loud but luminous-
A slow burning fire, a shared warmth,
A hug that keeps expanding
Long after the hands have let go.”

An Abstract for October
A Haiku for October :
Autumn colors flame
Sunset leaves drift slowly down
Nature’s masterpiece

An Abstract for September (Acrylic on 12” x12” canvas): A transitional month from hot summer days to cooler days and evenings with an equinox. And it’s apple picking month in the Midwest. Plus it can be a chaotic month with summer/vacations over and school starting again.
Haiku for September:
Golden sun still warms,
but a crisp chill greets the dawn,
red apples hang ripe.

“Prism of life”- (Acrylic on 24”x 36” canvas).
You arrive as a white rabbit,
unmarked, unmeasured, unshadowed—
a breath laid gently at the edge
of a dark and waiting canvas.
Life stands before you as a prism:
a quiet triangle, hollow yet infinite,
its borders thin as rules,
its center vast as possibility.
You leap inside.
And the moment you cross its threshold
the universe exhales—
stars stirring, time shivering awake.
From that passage bursts color:
your first joys,
your first griefs,
your first impossible, unbelievable loves.
They race outward—
red courage, orange wonder, yellow revelation,
green growth, blue longing, violet wisdom—
each event shaped like an animal of light,
each experience running ahead of you
as if urging you onward.
This is life:
a single leap into the prism,
and then a lifetime of color
spilling out behind you,
becoming your story.
